Life happens. Life will always happen. This is a lesson that we all need to learn as soon as possible.
When it comes to our health we need to make our life be affected by our wellness routine and not the other way around.
Sadly most of you do this wrong.
When the slings and arrows of life happen we tend to step away from the priority of our own health and happiness as a first consequence.
This needs to stop.
We all have "life" happen to us.
A death in the family. A cold snap. A hurricane. Financial headships. Divorce. Injury. Illness. Weddings. Kids.... and on and on.
It's called life.
It's gonna happen. Get used to it!
The point is that just because life happens you don't need to interrupt your journey. You MUST fight on.
One time, one of our gym members missed a classed because she climbed back into bed realizing it was a chilly morning.
It's called life. Put on a jacket.
A lady quit the gym because her daughter was doing school sports. Have her carpool with other kids to practice. Come to the 6am class.
Find a way.
A guy I know hurt his knee playing golf. He needs to dial in his diet 100%, take his vitamins, and do push-ups and sit-ups multiple times per day.
Make it happen.
Someone was short on cash last month and quit the gym because of it...
I could go on and an on and on....
Life is always going to get in the way.
Always.
You need to reverse the process. Instead of using "life" as the excuse to slack on your journey you need to use your life as your reason.
Make your fitness journey get in the way of your life. Make it a priority. Make it more important in every way.
Besides, without you there is no such thing as life. Let that be your lesson today.
CALL TO ACTION: Stand up. Look in the mirror. Tell yourself that you are the most important person in the world and that you will NEVER again let life get in the way of your health.
Don't underestimate the value of this proclamation.
I hope this lesson helps. It's may not seem important right at this very moment but it will be. Life WILL happen.
