Attitude determines altitude

I was going through security one day at the airport, and I had a thought that I think may add value to you.

It's a thought that I had about attitude and about perception.

Let me explain.

Have you ever looked around and noticed that "everyone" at work or at school, or anywhere there is a group of people, seems stressed? Or upset? Or angry? Or annoyed?

I know you have.

I certainly have.

How about there other way around?

Have you ever been to a party or a night out where everybody was happy and relaxed and having a great time?

Are these perceptions really the herd acting as one? Or is it something different?

Back to the airport.

As I walked through security I noticed something. I noticed that everyone seemed happy and content. It was long line and it was pretty annoying to take your shoes off and to remove your belt and so forth.

Why was everybody so happy?

It wasn't them. It was me. My attitude had determined my attitude. Pun intended.

While it is a cliche it is also, in this a case , a FACT.

YOU are going to project your feelings and your perceptions on other people.

We do this all the time.

I'm not going to tell you to stop doing it. As a matter of fact I want you to do it more. Do it all the time.... but only with positive perceptions like I did.

Spend more time noticing the good in the world and it will help you out as a human on this earth and it will help others.

Your body will function at a more optimal level if your thoughts are positive. This is a 100% fact. You CAN control your thoughts and you can control your actions. You also control your perceptions.

When we came back from our trip there was a screaming child two rows up. This girl had some pipes and she was using them!

Amazingly the people on the airplane were not annoyed. They all seemed pretty OK with it at the end of a 3 hour flight.

Wait. Were these people really fine with it or was I fine with it and thus I THOUGHT everyone else was?

Isn't that an interesting thought?

CALL TO ACTION: The next time you are in a group of people be in a good mood. Decide to do this.

Look around and observe. Do the other people seem to be in a good mood? I bet you will be surprised at what you find.

Last point. The health statistics in this country are alarming.

ALARMING.

Why is this? Is it because not enough people are doing the Keto diet? Is it because we don't have enough gyms? Or are there two many McDonalds? Not enough doctors? Health care?

Those could all be factors but those are not the true REASONS that our health goes further and further down the toilet each year.

If I were to pick one thing that we are doing wrong en masse in this county I would say that it's more about mindset than anything.

Change your mindset. Change your perceptions. Change your priorities. Doing this is the key to changing your body from the inside out.

It's not a mystery. It's not complicated. You have the key in your hand. All you need to do is put it in the lock and open the door. Change your attitude to adjust your altitude.
